Cloudmylab Password process for Registration and Password Reset

Cloudmylab enforces a 14 Character complex password for Registration and  Password Changes.
In the digital age, the use of passwords is virtually ubiquitous. Passwords are our first line of defense against unauthorized access to our personal and professional data. Strong passwords are essential for safeguarding our digital identities. One of the best ways to strengthen your password is by using a complex, 14-character minimum password.
Let's delve into the process of creating and changing these passwords.

Why 14 Characters?

The length of a password plays a vital role in its strength. The longer a password, the more difficult it is for cyber criminals to crack, because the number of potential combinations increases exponentially. A 14-character password, if it's truly random, will take many years, if not centuries, to crack with current computing power

Complexity Matters

When we say a 'complex' password, we're referring to the use of a variety of characters. A complex password includes a combination of upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters. This diversity makes the password harder to guess or crack.

Passwords must meet complexity requirements

The password contains characters from three of the following categories:

  • Uppercase letters of European languages (A through Z, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters).

  • Lowercase letters of European languages (a through z, sharp-s, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters).

  • Base 10 digits (0 through 9).

  • Non-alphanumeric characters (special characters):

'-!"#$%&()*,./:;?@[]^_`{|}~+<=>

  • Currency symbols such as the Euro or British Pound aren't counted as special characters for this policy setting.

  • Any Unicode character that's categorized as an alphabetic character but isn't uppercase or lowercase. This group includes Unicode characters from Asian languages.

Complexity requirements are enforced when passwords are changed or created.

If your password does not meet the standard Password Criterion, you will get the following error message
