Installation Of GNS3 VM

Download the latest version of GNS3 VM OVA File
ESXi OVA VM Setup and Settings

Step 1: Upload GNS3 OVA file to the ESXi host.


Step 2: Browse your downloaded GNS3VM.ova file, followed by Open. Then click Next.


Step 3: Enter the name for your GNS3 VM and select Datacenter. 

Step 4: Select the storage for the virtual machine file. Then click Next.

Step 5: Customize your GNS3 VM CPU Settings. Set CPU Number of Cores and number of cores per processor. Assign RAM as well Set Intel vT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI Virtualization to ON. 


Step 6: Power on the GNS3 VM and click open console. The IP address of the GNS3 VM will be displayed.


NOTE** Make sure that the KVM support in the GNS3-VM is available/TRUE.

Upgrade GNS3

NOTE**Your GNS3 VM version need to the same as the GNS3 client.

Step 1: In order to upgrade it go to the information and click on OK.

Step 2: Select the upgrade option and click OK.

Step 3: You can also change the version of your GNS3.
